Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actress, model and fashion designer. Born on 13 February 1979. After launching her acting career Mena Alexandra Svari was a regular as an actress in the 1990s on TV series Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her debut on film was the drama Nowhere which was which was released in 1997. Through her roles as a character in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated receive a BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned more attention from the public as she stepped into more prominent roles. After that, she was as a co-star in Loser (2000) alongside the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun And Trauma the thriller movie from 2004 was her second appearance. The other films she appeared in include HBO's comedy Six Feet Under. In 2008 she was cast in several films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari, a Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad model has been featured on numerous fashion blogs and magazines including Vogue. She is an active advocate and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. Also, she is involved in women's empowerment issues and works with organizations that support breast cancer awareness and women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
